Job Overview
A permanent opportunity is available for a Shunter Driver within the Logistics Department at Potchefstroom Bakery. The successful candidate will assist with loading operations and moving links and smaller trucks around the site safely and efficiently. The role is important in ensuring products are delivered without damage while supporting daily transport and operational activities.

Main Objectives
- Assist with loading and vehicle movement on assigned routes
- Ensure products are transported without damages
- Move links and smaller trucks safely around the site
- Support company logistics and transport operations
- Ensure company vehicles are used effectively and responsibly
- Contribute to achieving operational and delivery goals
Minimum Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Good numerical skills
Licence Requirements
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s Licence
- Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Operations
- Move trucks and trailers safely within the bakery premises
- Ensure vehicles are parked and positioned correctly
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before operation
- Report faults or damages immediately
Loading Assistance
- Assist with loading and offloading activities
- Ensure products are handled carefully to avoid damages
- Support warehouse and logistics teams when required
Safety Compliance
- Follow all road safety and company safety procedures
- Ensure vehicles are operated according to company standards
- Maintain cleanliness and safe working conditions
Team Support
- Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams
- Assist in operational duties when required
- Maintain professional working relationships with colleagues
Working Conditions
- Pressurized working environment
- 6-day working schedule
- May be required to work shifts
