Premier is currently recruiting for a General Worker Packer to join the Packing Department at the Vereeniging Mill. The role is suited for hardworking and physically fit individuals who can work in a fast-paced milling environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Job Purpose
The purpose of the position is to ensure all duties within the Promix department are completed according to operational requirements and workplace safety standards. The successful candidate will assist with packing, sanitation, quality checks, and general operational support within the mill.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack products accurately into containers and packaging materials according to company specifications
- Inspect products to ensure quality standards and packaging integrity are maintained
- Keep the working area clean, neat, and organised at all times
- Work together with team members to achieve production targets and deadlines
- Follow instructions and operational guidelines from supervisors
- Assist maintenance teams with troubleshooting and operational support
- Check all bottom and end seals to ensure packaging quality standards are met
- Perform sanitation and cleaning duties as assigned
- Adhere to health and safety regulations in the workplace
- Support efficient production processes within the packing department
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification
- 1 year milling industry experience
- 6 months to 1 year experience as a Packer

Working Conditions
