Job Overview
- Cashbuild is seeking a Cashier to provide efficient Point of Sale (POS) services.
- The successful candidate will ensure accurate cash handling, excellent customer service, and proper administration.

Minimum Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or at least 1 year of related work experience.
- Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
- Basic mathematical and calculation skills.

Key Responsibilities
Cash Handling
- Handle all cash transactions accurately.
- Ensure floats and petty cash balance correctly.
- Prevent shortages and overages during transactions.
- Capture products and payment types correctly on the POS system.
- Ensure sufficient change is available at all times.
- Complete accurate cash-ups at the end of shifts.
- Deposit daily takings into the drop safe or vault.
- Process store payments, deliveries, and quotations correctly.
Administration
- Sign and file cashier-related documents accurately.
- Maintain organised records and paperwork.
- Ensure all documentation is completed properly.
Customer Service
- Deliver fast, friendly, and efficient customer service.
- Assist customers during checkout processes.
- Direct customers to the correct staff member when assistance is needed.
- Maintain professional appearance according to company dress code.
Ready for Business
- Follow company procedures and operational standards.
