Job Overview
- Unitrans is seeking a General Worker – Cleaner for its Consumer Division in Vanderbijlpark.
- The successful candidate will help maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the workplace.
- Main responsibilities include cleaning offices, maintaining outside walkways, and ensuring the working environment remains neat and safe.

Minimum Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Must be medically fit.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Clean criminal record.
- Must have own reliable transport to and from work.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and workplace regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to handle cleaning machinery and heavy equipment.
- Must be physically fit to walk, bend, lift, push, and pull repeatedly during working hours.
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe disposal methods.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organisational abilities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors daily.
- Clean offices and communal areas.
- Empty trash bins regularly.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms.
- Wipe down communal surfaces and workspaces.
- Ensure the entire premises remain neat and hygienic.
Outdoor Maintenance
- Keep outside walkways clean and free from debris.
- Maintain cleanliness around the building and surrounding areas.
General Housekeeping
- Perform general housekeeping duties throughout the premises.
- Assist office staff with making tea when required.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff and visitors.
Reporting and Safety
- Report maintenance issues and repairs to building management.
- Follow all workplace safety requirements and procedures.
- Ensure cleaning chemicals and equipment are stored safely.
