General Assistant (Sculler)
The position of General Assistant (Sculler) at Tsebo Solutions Group under the EatFresh division is a permanent opportunity based in Johannesburg. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth kitchen operations within the catering environment. The successful candidate will assist kitchen staff by ensuring all dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and preparation areas remain clean and organised at all times.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment thoroughly.
- Keep the kitchen, scullery, storage, and wash-up areas clean and hygienic.
- Follow correct cleaning and storage procedures for kitchen equipment.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Remove refuse and dispose of waste safely and hygienically.
- Clean floors, walls, fridges, drains, and food preparation surfaces.
- Refill cleaning and hygiene supplies when needed.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
- Report damaged equipment or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Minimum Qualification
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
