
Laundry Worker – Department of Health
- Gauteng Department of Health is recruiting for Laundry Worker positions.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10–12 or equivalent NQF Level 3–5 qualification.
- Hospital environment and laundry experience will be an added advantage.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to work shifts when required.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Distribute and collect linen from hospital wards.
- Sluice and handle soiled or blood-stained linen safely.
- Pack dirty linen into laundry bags for transport.
- Load laundry bags onto trucks for delivery to the washing facility.
- Offload and unpack clean linen received from the service provider.
- Perform quarterly stocktaking duties.
- Assist with general laundry and linen management tasks.
- Work overtime and additional hours when required.
- Support hospital operations by maintaining proper linen supply.
