Job Overview
TWK Agri is looking for a Cleaner to join the Manufactured Timber Products division at Rutland Sawmill in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in office and workshop areas. This opportunity is suitable for entry-level candidates who are hardworking, organised, trustworthy, and able to work professionally within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Cleaner will maintain a clean and hygienic workplace by carrying out daily housekeeping duties. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising offices, workshops, and restroom facilities. The role also involves dusting surfaces, cleaning windows, emptying waste bins, and ensuring all workspaces remain neat and organised at all times.
The successful applicant will also refill bathroom supplies such as soap, wash curtains and cleaning materials when required, and assist staff by preparing tea and coffee. In addition, the Cleaner must report maintenance or plumbing problems to the relevant safety officers to ensure the workplace remains safe and fully functional. General housekeeping and maintaining professional cleaning standards are essential parts of the job.
Requirements and Skills
Applicants should have a Matric / Grade 12 qualification. Candidates must possess good cleaning and housekeeping abilities, be able to safely handle cleaning chemicals, and demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills. The company requires a trustworthy, reliable, and professional individual who can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
