Job Overview
Road Accident Fund is offering an Internship opportunity within the Office of the Regional General Manager (RGM) for unemployed graduates between the ages of 18 and 25. The programme aims to provide practical workplace experience and youth skills development through exposure to office administration, stakeholder management, and executive support functions.
This opportunity is suitable for graduates seeking administrative experience within a professional office environment and offers valuable exposure to government administration processes and corporate operations.
Key Responsibilities
The intern will assist with maintaining documentation systems and regularly updating document registers to ensure proper records management. Responsibilities include handling stakeholder queries, following up on outstanding matters, and ensuring issues are resolved within required turnaround times.
The successful candidate will also provide general office administration support through filing, data capturing, diary management, and assisting with claims administration processes. Additional duties include organising meetings, appointments, and events while supporting executives with administrative tasks.
The role further involves drafting and proofreading emails, memos, reports, presentations, and meeting agendas. The intern will screen phone calls, manage incoming mail, maintain electronic and physical filing systems, assist with travel arrangements, and take meeting minutes when required. Support in project coordination, office supply management, and inventory control will also form part of the internship duties.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must possess an NQF Level 6 Diploma in Office Management/Administration or Information and Corporate Management. Candidates are required to submit a certified copy of their ID, academic transcript, updated CV, and motivational letter as part of the application process.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong organisational skills, professional office etiquette, confidentiality, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must be unemployed, should not have previously worked in the field related to the internship, and must not have participated in a similar internship programme before.
