Job Overview
A permanent opportunity is available for a General Worker within the Production Department in Queensburgh. The successful candidate will support operations in the Powder Factory by performing general operational and housekeeping duties to ensure production processes run safely and efficiently.
This role is suitable for candidates who are physically fit, able to work under demanding conditions, and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
Key Responsibilities
The General Worker will assist with daily operational activities within the Powder Factory, including shrink-wrapping products, sorting damaged stock, loading materials, and maintaining cleanliness within the production area. The role also involves handling products carefully and ensuring all tasks are completed according to Standard Operating Procedures.
The successful candidate will maintain housekeeping standards and comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times to support a safe working environment. Additional duties may include performing ad-hoc operational tasks requested by management to assist the Production team in meeting operational targets and maintaining productivity.
Requirements and Skills
Applicants must have Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification. Candidates should be fluent in Business English and capable of working in extreme production conditions. Previous experience within a Powder department will be advantageous but is not compulsory.
The role requires individuals who are motivated, honest, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills, commitment to maintaining high standards, and willingness to undergo Readiness Assessments are essential for this position.
