Program Overview

The Yes4Youth (Y4Y) Student Program 2026 is a developmental initiative hosted by BMW Group South Africa. It forms part of BMW’s long-term commitment to supporting youth employability in South Africa while encouraging innovation, collaboration, and professional growth. The programme is designed to give young graduates practical workplace experience that strengthens their skills and prepares them for future career opportunities.

BMW’s Y4Y programme creates an environment where participants can apply their academic knowledge, interact with industry experts, and gain insight into the operations of a global automotive leader. The programme integrates real workplace exposure with professional development, allowing participants to contribute meaningfully to operational, technical, and strategic functions within the BMW Group.

Purpose of the Yes4Youth Programme

Youth unemployment remains a key socio-economic challenge in South Africa. Through the Yes4Youth initiative, BMW aims to play an active role in supporting employability by opening doors for graduates who may not yet have had access to formal industry experience. Participants are placed in real working environments across BMW’s operations, enabling them to:

  • Develop practical, job-ready skills
  • Gain exposure to international standards and industry practices
  • Improve their employability for future opportunities
  • Build confidence and professional work habits
  • Understand how various business and technical functions operate within a global organisation

The programme is not a learnership or internship; it is a 12-month work experience initiative that offers participants meaningful, structured exposure aligned to their field of study.

To qualify for the BMW Yes4Youth Student Program 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
