✨ INTRODUCTION
A General Worker position is available within a major energy and construction environment supporting civil works at Matla Power Station. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing manual construction-related tasks under the supervision of a foreman, team leader, or supervisor. The role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable support within construction operations.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work in a high-pressure industrial environment.
🔧 PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The General Worker will assist in day-to-day construction activities by performing general labour tasks, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and supporting site operations as instructed. The role contributes directly to the smooth execution of construction projects and ensures compliance with safety procedures.
🧰 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform general manual labour tasks as instructed by supervisors
• Assist in construction site duties and support team activities
• Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, neat, and organised
• Follow all instructions related to assigned construction activities
• Adhere strictly to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies
• Support safe working practices in all tasks performed
• Report unsafe conditions or hazards to supervisors
• Maintain discipline and teamwork on site
