✨ ABOUT THE ROLE
A leading retail and logistics organisation is seeking a skilled and experienced Driver Instructor to join its transport division. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant fleet operations by training, assessing, and mentoring Code 14 drivers across the supply chain.
The role focuses on improving driver behaviour, reducing fuel consumption, enhancing road safety, and ensuring that all drivers meet operational and legal driving standards. The Driver Instructor will work closely with both new and existing drivers, including learnership participants, to develop strong driving competencies and professional discipline.
🎯 KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• Conduct practical and theoretical Code 14 driver assessments
• Provide onboarding training for newly recruited drivers
• Deliver ongoing coaching and development for existing drivers
• Improve fuel efficiency through corrective driving behaviour
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Support recruitment decisions through accurate driver evaluations
📚 REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid Code 14 Driver’s Licence with Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Assessor/Facilitator Certificate (advantageous)
• Proven experience as a Code 14 Driver Trainer (essential)
• Strong and clean driving record
