JOB OVERVIEW

A reputable company in the FMCG sector is seeking a skilled and responsible Driver Replenishment to join its depot team based in Butterworth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vehicle loads and ensuring safe, efficient delivery of products along assigned routes without damages. This role requires a strong focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vehicle Operations & Deliveries

  • Prepare and inspect the vehicle before each trip
  • Operate a heavy-duty vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers
  • Manage and secure allocated loads to prevent damages

Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere strictly to all SOPs and safety procedures
  • Follow AARTO regulations at all times
  • Report any vehicle defects, breakdowns, or emergencies immediately
  • Maintain proper driving and safety standards

Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete all required delivery and vehicle documentation accurately
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required

Vehicle Maintenance & Housekeeping

  • Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition
  • Ensure routine checks are done and issues are reported promptly

Team Support

  • Follow all reasonable instructions from management
  • Work collaboratively within the depot and logistics team

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Valid Code 14 driver’s licence with PrDP
  • Minimum of 24 months driving experience
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role (advantageous)

  • Strong understanding of FMCG operations
  • Knowledge of business processes, rules, and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Good numerical skills
  • Customer service and relationship management
  • Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
  • Accountability and reliability

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Shift work is required
  • Must be willing to work weekends (Saturdays & Sundays)
  • Availability for public holidays is essential
