🔹 Main Job Purpose
- Assist the truck driver with loading and offloading glass safely.
- Ensure that all deliveries are handled carefully to avoid damage.
- Support safe vehicle movement, especially in tight or risky areas.
- Ensure loads are properly secured before and during trips.
- Help maintain safety standards during transportation and delivery.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Identify safe and suitable locations for loading and offloading.
- Assist with loading and offloading glass products carefully.
- Ensure all loading is done on level surfaces where possible.
- Complete quality check sheets during loading processes.
- Inspect loads to ensure they are secure and stable.
- Double-check load safety throughout the journey.
- Assist the driver when reversing or manoeuvring in tight spaces.
- Report any damages to property, products, or equipment immediately.
- Ensure loads are properly restrained before leaving customer sites.
- Help manage and organize delivery paperwork when needed.
- Follow all company procedures, work instructions, and safety rules.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and environmental safety.
- Be available to work overtime, weekends, or shifts when required.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
🔹 Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- A valid Code 10 or higher driver’s licence with PrDP is an advantage (not mandatory).
