🔹 Main Job Purpose
- Assist in all factory operations to support production processes.
- Ensure production targets are achieved efficiently.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Measure incoming glass accurately using a tape measure.
- Inspect glass for defects such as scratches, cracks, or uneven edges.
- Follow job cards, process instructions, and technical drawings.
- Take instructions from machine operators and support them during operations.
- Complete documentation correctly (manual and electronic).
- Monitor safety conditions and report hazards immediately.
- Conduct quality checks and report defects to operators.
- Ensure correct labelling of glass before moving to the next stage.
- Scan and verify finished products before dispatching.
- Dispose of defective glass and initiate replacement processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.
- Record daily production data (quantities, sizes, materials).
- Handle chemicals safely according to guidelines.
- Pack and label glass correctly on racks or trolleys.
- Load and move glass using pallet jacks.
- Assist with loading and offloading trucks and materials.
- Secure materials with strapping to prevent damage during transport.
- Clean machines, equipment, and work areas regularly.
- Sign off job cards after completing assigned tasks.
- Support other departments when required.
🔹 Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
