A permanent Handyman position is available in Queensburgh. The successful candidates will perform maintenance, plumbing repairs, carpentry, and general upkeep of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. 📌 Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification
- Relevant handyman or maintenance experience
- Basic tool handling experience
- Strong plumbing knowledge
- Ability to work in extreme conditions
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work with senior management
- Problem-solving skills
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment
🛠 Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, and fixtures
- Work with copper, PVC, polycor, and galvanised pipes
- Install couplers up to 200mm PVC pipes
- Detect leaks, drainage blockages, and faults
- Use jetting machines and cameras for plumbing issues
- Conduct regular inspections of systems and equipment
- Record completed work using job management systems
- Follow workplace safety procedures
- Use hand tools such as hacksaw, spanners, wrenches, pliers, spirit level, and pop rivet gun
- Use power tools such as drills, grinders, jigsaws, and jackhammers
- Perform basic electrical work such as lighting, wiring, and fault-finding
- Do carpentry work, including hanging doors and wood repairs
- Carry out plumbing installations and leak repairs
