Shop Assistant / Cashier Job Opportunity – Clicks Bergville (KwaZulu-Natal)

Job Purpose
The main purpose of this role is to provide excellent customer service, assist customers with purchases, operate the point of sale (POS), handle cash safely, and ensure the store is clean, organised, and well merchandised.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Operate the till and process customer purchases accurately.
• Scan merchandise and collect payments.
• Handle cash safely and follow company cash procedures.
• Promote Clicks ClubCard to customers.
• Register new ClubCard members to meet targets.
• Inform customers about specials and promotions.
• Pack shelves and arrange stock neatly.
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked and products are displayed correctly.
• Keep the store clean and tidy at all times.
• Help customers find products they need.
• Stay updated on products, promotions, and store events.
• Support teamwork and company values.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 / Matric certificate (Essential).
• Maths 50% and English 50% in Grade 12 will be an advantage.
• Previous retail or cashier experience is desirable.
