Housekeeping Vacancy – Hollywoodbets (Cape Town, Western Cape)

- The Housekeeper plays an important role in creating a clean and welcoming environment for customers and staff
- The job requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the branch is clean before opening, during operations, and after closing
- Clean both inside and outside areas of the branch, including the parking area
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors regularly
- Clean walls, doors, windows, and other surfaces when necessary
- Empty bins daily and replace them with clean refuse bags
- Wash and sanitize waste bins when required
- Sort waste correctly and dispose of it according to instructions
- Clean and maintain the yard and designated waste areas
- Collect and record waste disposal information when required
- Clean toilets and washrooms to maintain high hygiene standards
- Wipe and sanitize tables, counters, chairs, and all customer-facing surfaces
- Clean televisions, lights, furniture, and equipment before staff commence work
- Ensure service areas remain neat and tidy during both busy and quiet periods
- Maintain cleanliness of seating areas and check seat covers regularly
- Report damaged furniture such as unstable tables or worn seating to management
Cleaning Standards and Equipment
- Use cleaning chemicals and detergents safely and correctly at all times
- Request cleaning materials such as mops, brooms, and cloths when needed
- Report broken or worn cleaning equipment to the Branch Manager
- Clean air conditioning filters weekly as part of maintenance duties
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all cleaning supplies
Personal Conduct and Requirements
- Must wear the official Hollywoodbets housekeeping uniform at all times
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene
- Be punctual, disciplined, and professional in appearance and behaviour
- Be honest, reliable, and able to follow instructions correctly
- Have previous housekeeping experience (required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
