Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift safely and efficiently. The role includes loading, off-loading, moving, and storing stock in the warehouse or yard while following all safety procedures and company rules.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate the forklift safely at all times.
• Load stock onto delivery vehicles correctly.
• Off-load incoming stock from trucks and suppliers.
• Move stock to the correct storage areas in the warehouse or yard.
• Pick stock according to customer or branch requirements.
• Ensure stock is handled carefully to avoid damages.
• Complete paperwork when loading and off-loading goods.
• Check stock quantities and ensure accuracy.
• Keep the forklift clean and in good working condition.
• Report any forklift faults or damages immediately.
• Follow workplace health and safety regulations.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
Minimum Requirements
• Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Valid forklift license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a forklift driver.
