Role Overview: Service & Support Controller
The Service & Support Controller plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This role focuses on coordinating and managing customer installation requests, repairs, and service queries, while supporting scheduling, case management, technician allocation, and customer communication.
Participants will gain experience in workflow management, administrative accuracy, and operational coordination, making this an ideal placement for youth seeking career development in operations and customer-focused roles.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Installation Requests & Scheduling
- Receive new installation requests from the New Business and Contracts Department
- Schedule customer requests efficiently to optimise technician time
- Allocate jobs to technicians accurately and timely
- Monitor progress of all scheduled calls and requests
Customer Requests & Queries
- Handle calls and emails from customers requesting repairs, de-installations, and re-installations
- Manage customer queries proactively to resolution
- Escalate unresolved issues through the appropriate channels
- Maintain professional and empathetic communication at all times
System Management & Administrative Accuracy
- Capture and update all information accurately in internal systems
- Ensure correct allocation of work to technicians
- Log customer and job information accurately after each interaction
- Process job cards, upload to CRM, and submit to invoicing
Technical Coordination & Control Room Liaison
- Coordinate with the control room to test customer vehicles when required
- Ensure technicians receive complete and accurate job instructions
Stock & Resource Control
- Maintain stock control related to installations and repairs
- Ensure documentation and usage records are completed accurately
Financial & Billing Support
- Verify warranty details for relevant jobs
- Liaise with departments to ensure accurate invoicing
Developmental Focus (YES4Youth Alignment)
- Exposure to customer service, operations coordination, and administrative tasks
- Development of scheduling, prioritisation, and professional communication skills
- Practical experience in managing customer queries and internal case workflows
Who Can Apply?
- Unemployed South African youth between the ages of 18 and 29
- Must have Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Must not have previously participated in the YES4Youth programme
- Reside close to the workplace location
- Must have no criminal record
- Must be available to start employment on 1 May 2026
Qualifications aligned to business administration, customer service, operations, or related fields are advantageous, but not required.
