Role Overview
The Customer Service Consultant is responsible for managing the front desk of the Fitment Centre by delivering professional customer support, handling internal sales, coordinating service schedules, and ensuring that all administrative and financial processes are accurately completed.
The role plays a critical part in maintaining PG Glass’s high service standards while supporting business growth through effective customer engagement, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Manage all walk-in and telephonic customer interactions in a professional and friendly manner
- Provide accurate product and service information to assist customers in making informed decisions
- Follow up on all counter sales to ensure closure and customer satisfaction
- Work towards achieving sales targets, service budgets, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) goals
Claims & Payment Processing
- Handle insurance and customer claims efficiently and accurately
- Communicate excess amounts clearly to customers and collect payments promptly
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly to prevent losses
- Maintain daily performance targets related to claims processing
Administrative Excellence
- Perform all administrative tasks in line with company standards and best practices
- Maintain accurate records for stock control, customer bookings, and service documentation
- Support ordering processes to ensure stock availability for scheduled jobs
- Deliver a smooth, low-effort experience for customers through organised workflows
Service Scheduling & Productivity
- Utilise the Fitment Centre scheduling system to optimise fitter productivity
- Ensure daily job targets are met while maintaining quality standards
- Manage customer expectations regarding service timelines and availability
- Coordinate workflows to keep the Fitment Centre operating at full capacity
Stock & Operational Support
- Accurately order stock according to job schedules and service demands
- Follow buy-out and procurement procedures to avoid service delays
- Maintain high service standards through proper planning and inventory management
General Compliance & Support
- Adhere to PG Glass policies, operational procedures, and corporate identity standards
- Assist with any reasonable operational requests from management
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct at all times
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) – essential
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong computer literacy
- Experience in customer service or front-desk operations is advantageous
- Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
- Understanding of administrative processes and sales support
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
- Strong interpersonal and customer-handling abilities
