Motus Corporation, through its Motus Aftermarket Parts division, is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join the Midas team in King William’s Town. This opportunity is suitable for individuals with strong driving experience, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work responsibly under pressure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of goods while ensuring all company procedures and safety regulations are followed correctly. The role requires a professional individual who can maintain vehicle standards, handle deliveries efficiently, and provide excellent service to customers during daily operations.
Applicants must have Grade 12, a valid driver’s licence with a PDP, and at least 3 years of delivery driving experience. Candidates should also possess strong communication skills, sober habits, honesty, integrity, and the ability to work independently and within strict delivery schedules. A clear criminal record is essential for this position.
The Driver will conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance. Any vehicle faults or damages must be reported immediately to the Dispatch Supervisor before departure. Drivers will also work closely with supervisors during the loading process to ensure all parcels and stock are correctly checked and loaded according to company dispatch procedures.
Key duties include delivering parcels to customers according to route schedules, ensuring all POD (Proof of Delivery) procedures are completed correctly, handling collection slips and trip sheets, and ensuring all delivery documentation is returned accurately. Drivers will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and good condition of company vehicles.
The role requires high levels of accountability, as outstanding trip sheets and missing POD documents may result in liability for claims. Drivers must also ensure there are no unauthorised stock transfers between customer stores and that all company policies are followed at all times.
