SA Metal Group is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organised Finance Data Capturer to join its Finance Department.
Job Overview
The Finance Data Capturer will be responsible for accurately capturing, updating, and maintaining shipment and dispatch data across relevant systems. This role plays a vital part in ensuring financial and operational data integrity, which supports smooth business operations across all branches.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Data Capturer, your duties will include:
- Capturing, inputting, and updating shipment data in internal databases and finance software systems
- Updating and maintaining load dispatch reports for all company branches
- Recording and updating daily dispatches to customers
- Providing daily progress reports to relevant stakeholders
- Verifying and cross-checking captured data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identifying discrepancies and reporting inconsistencies promptly
- Providing administrative support to the Finance Department
- Assisting with document filing, record management, and related clerical tasks
Accuracy and consistency in data entry are critical to success in this role. The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of concentration and attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- 1 to 4 years’ experience in data entry, finance administration, or similar administrative roles (advantageous)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Computer literacy and familiarity with finance-related systems (knowledge of AccPac will be advantageous)
