Permanent Driving Opportunity in the FMCG Sector

An exciting permanent opportunity is available for an experienced Driver Replenishment to join the Replenishment Department based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. This position is ideal for a skilled Code 14 driver with strong FMCG experience who is committed to safety, efficiency, and customer service excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing allocated loads and vehicles along assigned routes, ensuring products are delivered safely and without damage.


Job Overview

The Driver Replenishment plays a vital role in the supply chain process. This position requires the safe operation of a heavy-duty vehicle while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. The driver will also handle all relevant documentation and maintain compliance with company policies and road safety regulations.

This role requires a highly responsible individual who understands the importance of meeting delivery schedules while maintaining product quality and vehicle standards.


Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Operation & Route Management
  • Prepare the vehicle for each trip, ensuring it is roadworthy and compliant
  • Operate a heavy-duty vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Manage allocated load on assigned routes
  • Deliver products without damages or losses
  • Ensure on-time deliveries according to route schedules

Documentation & Reporting
  • Handle all required documentation accurately and timeously
  • Complete delivery notes and related paperwork
  • Report emergencies, defects, breakdowns, or incidents according to procedure
  • Follow all reasonable instructions from management

Compliance & Safety
  • Adhere strictly to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Comply with all safety policies and operational guidelines
  • Maintain full compliance with AARTO regulations at all times
  • Follow company reporting procedures in case of incidents or road emergencies

Vehicle Care & Housekeeping
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the vehicle
  • Conduct routine inspections before and after trips
  • Report maintenance issues promptly
  • Ensure the vehicle remains in good working condition

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) qualification
  • Valid Code 14 driver’s licence
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)

Candidates without the required licence and PrDP will not be considered.


Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 24 months (2 years) driving experience
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar driving or replenishment role
  • Experience within the FMCG industry will be advantageous

Previous experience handling deliveries in a high-volume distribution environment will be highly beneficial.
