PSiRA YES Internship Programme 2026: Graduate Internship Opportunities (South Africa)
The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) invites applications from unemployed, suitably qualified South African graduates for the YES Internship Programme. This programme is designed to provide young graduates with meaningful workplace exposure while contributing to skills development within the private security regulatory environment.
PSiRA is a statutory body established in terms of South African legislation to regulate the private security industry. The Authority is responsible for the registration, monitoring, and compliance of security service providers, setting minimum industry standards, and promoting professionalism, accountability, and ethical conduct within the private security sector.
Through the YES Internship Programme, PSiRA aims to support youth employment initiatives while promoting representativity and capacity building across its operations.
About the YES Internship Programme
The YES (Youth Employment Service) Internship Programme is a structured 12-month internship contract intended for graduates who have completed relevant qualifications but have limited or no work experience. The programme offers participants practical exposure, workplace learning, and professional development aligned with their field of study.
Interns will gain hands-on experience in a professional regulatory environment and be exposed to public-sector operations, compliance processes, governance frameworks, and administrative systems relevant to their disciplines.
Internship Duration and Stipend
- Contract Duration: 12 months (fixed-term)
- Monthly Stipend (based on qualification level):
- NQF Level 6: R5,000 per month
- NQF Level 7: R6,000 per month
- NQF Level 8: R7,000 per month
Please note that the internship is not permanent employment and does not guarantee absorption into PSiRA after completion.
