Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the AVBOB Dundee office. This includes daily cleaning duties, ensuring supplies are replenished, assisting with basic kitchen tasks, and helping to create a pleasant environment for both staff and visitors.


Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker at AVBOB, your responsibilities will include:

1. Office Cleaning & Hygiene
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the office to maintain exceptional hygiene levels.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum all office floors daily.
  • Dust office furniture, décor, plants, and other surfaces to ensure a neat workspace.
  • Clean and empty waste bins regularly to prevent clutter or odours.
2. Restroom Maintenance
  • Clean and wash toilets, hand basins, sinks, and bathroom surfaces.
  • Ensure all restrooms are stocked with essentials such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
  • Report low supplies or maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
3. Kitchen & Refreshments
  • Prepare tea and coffee for internal staff when required.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and dishcloths to maintain a clean kitchen area.
  • Refill tea, coffee, sugar, and other consumables in kitchen dispensers.
  • Ensure the water cooler is filled and functioning properly.
4. General Office Support
  • Wash office windows to maintain a clean and welcoming work environment.
  • Support the office with simple housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Alert management to any issues identified during cleaning duties, such as damages, leaks, or supply shortages.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Education
  • Minimum Grade 10 qualification.
Experience
  • Previous cleaning experience will be a definite advantage.
  • Experience working in an office environment is beneficial but not essential.
Skills & Attributes
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (advantageous).
  • Good interpersonal and people skills.
  • High level of reliability, honesty, and responsibility.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
