Key Responsibilities
Successful learners will:
- Participate in the Learner Fire Fighter Learnership Programme.
- Complete all theoretical and workplace training requirements.
- Successfully complete assessments and evaluations.
- Participate in workplace readiness activities.
- Follow company procedures, safety standards, and operational requirements.
- Develop the knowledge and practical skills required for firefighting duties.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
- Pass in Technical Mathematics, Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy.
- Pass in English or Business English.
- Pass in Technical Science or Physical Science.
- Valid Code B driver’s licence or higher.
- Be between 18 and 29 years of age.
- Be able to pass a firefighter fitness assessment.
- Be able to pass stress and fear assessments, including:
- Working at heights
- Confined spaces
- Fire exposure
- Cat ladders
Eligibility
This learnership is open to applicants who:
- Are South African citizens.
- Reside within the Sasol local communities of Secunda or Sasolburg.
- Meet all minimum qualification and fitness requirements.
