ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP
• Excellent opportunity for young individuals interested in the automotive industry
• Suitable for candidates who want to become qualified Motor Mechanic Technicians
• Apprentices will undergo practical and technical training for up to three years
• Training will take place under the supervision of experienced technicians and workshop managers
• Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in vehicle servicing and repairs within a professional workshop environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist technicians with the repair and servicing of vehicles
• Remove and replace vehicle parts and components
• Jack up vehicles safely and place trestles correctly
• Lubricate vehicle components and assist with oil changes under supervision
• Remove and fit wheels, batteries, air filters and oil filters
• Support general workshop operations and vehicle maintenance
• Clean vehicle parts, tools and workshop equipment
• Attend all prescribed technical and apprentice training courses
• Maintain cleanliness of overalls, tools and workstations
• Follow all company safety regulations and workshop procedures
• Assist with housekeeping duties within the workshop
• Perform any additional reasonable duties assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Must have Pure Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects
• A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage
• Clear criminal record required
• Technical or mechanical knowledge will be beneficial
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Customer service orientation and professional attitude
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
