Job Purpose
The main purpose of this role is to sort, repair, and maintain pallets and boards used in the company’s operations. The General Worker will also ensure that all materials meet company quality standards while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
This role plays a key part in supporting logistics, storage, and transportation processes within the business.
Pallet Sorting and Repair
- Sort pallets and boards according to quality standards
- Identify and isolate damaged pallets
- Perform minor repairs on pallets where required
- Use scrap pallets to build new Twizza pallets
Quality Control
- Inspect pallets received from trade
- Ensure all pallets meet Twizza quality standards
- Report defects or non-compliant materials
Warehouse Support
- Assist with loading trucks (including SPAR deliveries)
- Support general warehouse and operational tasks
- Work with Chep pallets and ensure proper handling
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene
- Follow all company health and safety policies
- Ensure work areas are clean and organised (housekeeping)
Food Safety and Quality Standards
Twizza places strong emphasis on food safety. In this role, you will:
- Follow all Food Safety Management System (FSSC 22000) standards
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness at all times
- Identify and report risks that may affect product quality
