South African Police Service Graduate Internship Programme 2025/2026 (24 Months)
The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites unemployed graduates to apply for the 24-month Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL) Internship Programme funded by the Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA).
This internship forms part of South Africaβs National Human Resource Development Strategy and National Skills Development Strategy, aimed at giving graduates practical work experience in various professional fields within the policing and public safety sector.
The programme provides valuable exposure, mentorship, and workplace training to help young professionals build experience and improve their employability.

General Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Age between 18 and 35 years
- Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or NCV Level 4
- Must have no criminal record or pending criminal cases
- Must be unemployed
- Must never have worked in the field of the advertised post
- Must not have participated in a previous internship programme in the same field
- Applicants may apply for a maximum of three (3) posts
- A separate application form must be completed for each post reference number
Applicants must also attach a statement of results and proof of qualifications where applicable.
