About the Learnership Programme
The Engineering Learnership Programme is structured to help participants complete occupational qualifications in various engineering trades. The training is registered with the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) and implemented through a structured training agreement.
Participants will enter into a fixed-term employment contract for the duration of the programme. During this time, they will receive professional training and mentorship while working towards becoming qualified artisans in their chosen engineering discipline.

Boilermaker

Electrician
This trade focuses on electrical systems, equipment maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting within mining operations.
Fitter and Turner

Diesel Mechanic
Training focuses on servicing and repairing diesel-powered machinery used in mining and heavy equipment operations.
Transportation Electrician (Auto Electrician)

Minimum Requirements

Educational Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following:
Option 1
- Grade 12 (Matric) with:
- Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
- Physical Science
- English
- Minimum 40% pass in all subjects
OR
Option 2
- N2 Certificate with four relevant subjects related to the trade
OR
Option 3
- NCV Level 3 with:
- At least 40% in Mathematics
- Minimum 40% in relevant subjects

- Must be able to travel to the training centre outside Limpopo Province (transport will be sponsored by the company).
- Must be able to obtain a Red Ticket (Medical Fitness Certificate) required for working on a mine.
- Must pass SAPS criminal record verification.
- Must undergo qualification verification.
- May be required to complete psychometric and technical assessments as part of the selection process.
