Role Overview
The General Worker – VINLINER supports the production of high-quality Vinliner products. The role involves material handling, operating machinery, packaging, and ensuring production targets are met. This position also includes maintaining documentation, stock accuracy, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards.
This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments, who are detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Material Handling
- Ensure daily material requirements are prepared and available for production
- Set up and monitor machinery to ensure accurate operation
- Operate rewinding and cutting machines to maintain continuous production
- Package and store materials according to company standards
- Assist other production areas as needed to support workflow
Quality & Documentation
- Ensure all products meet the required quality standards
- Update production and stock documentation accurately
- Monitor material stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Ensure the next process in production has sufficient materials to maintain workflow
Safety & Compliance
- Comply with all corporate safety standards and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
- Ensure housekeeping tasks are carried out regularly
- Report any operational or safety concerns to supervisors promptly
Performance & Targets
- Meet daily and hourly production targets
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes
- Demonstrate reliability and efficiency in all assigned tasks
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Basic technical and vocational understanding of production processes
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, stock handling, or logistics operations
- Familiarity with machinery operation and production line workflows
