Clicks Group is currently seeking two HR Graduates to join the Group Services HR team at the Sorbet Offices in Woodmead, Johannesburg. This programme offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resource management, administration, and operations while building a foundation for a career in HR.
Purpose of the Role
The HR Graduate will support the HR team in various administrative and operational functions related to the end-to-end HR process. The role requires attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with HR reporting, escalating queries, supporting recruitment activities, and providing general HR and training support as required. This position is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain practical experience and insight into the human resources field.
Key Responsibilities
The HR Graduate will be expected to:
- Complete HR administrative duties efficiently and accurately to assist with the resolution of queries within prescribed quality standards.
- Support HR reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Escalate HR queries to the appropriate areas and follow up to ensure resolutions are implemented.
- Assist with HR-related activities including recruitment, interviews, reference checks, and training support.
- Perform ad hoc administrative tasks such as data capturing, meeting minutes, filing, and general office support.
- Support the implementation of HR processes and initiatives in line with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and organizational standards.
The HR Graduate role provides exposure to multiple facets of human resources, including talent management, recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Qualifications & Education:
- Completed Degree or BTech in Human Resource Management (essential)
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in using email and general office systems
Experience & Knowledge:
- Entry-level / graduate with strong interest in HR
- Numeracy and analytical skills for handling HR data and reporting
- Conceptual thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to follow rules, procedures, and instructions
- Strong organisational, planning, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good presentation skills and professional work ethic
Applicant Requirements:
- Must be unemployed and able to commit for the 12-month programme
- South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 29
- Must demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in HR
- A proactive, self-motivated, and responsible approach to work
