About the Role

The Commissioned Financial Adviser role focuses on assisting customers in achieving their lifetime financial objectives through professional advice and suitable financial planning solutions. Successful candidates will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and recommend products and services aligned with those needs.

Financial Advisers are responsible for building their own client base while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. The role combines advisory expertise, relationship management, and performance-driven sales activities.


Key Responsibilities

As a Commissioned Financial Adviser, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying customer financial needs through consultations
  • Providing sound financial advice and tailored financial solutions
  • Developing and implementing fit-for-purpose financial plans
  • Procuring new business opportunities through networking and self-generated leads
  • Expanding sales of financial products and services to existing clients
  • Maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Meeting sales and performance targets
  • Managing customer information and sales records accurately

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate (NQF Level 4 or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 24 months’ experience in the financial services industry
  • Regulatory Examination (RE5) qualification
  • Relevant Class of Business certification and CPD compliance
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Own vehicle or reliable access to transportation for work purposes
  • Clear criminal record

Candidates with prior advisory or insurance sales experience will have an added advantage.
