The Bredasdorp branch is now inviting applications for an Automotive Apprentice (Learner Technician) position aimed at individuals from designated groups who are passionate about vehicles and eager to develop technical skills.
Role Overview
This apprenticeship offers structured on-the-job training combined with formal technical education, allowing learners to progress toward becoming Red Seal–accredited Automotive Technicians.
As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs while attending required training programs.

Key Responsibilities
During the apprenticeship, you will:
- Assist qualified technicians with servicing and repairing vehicles
- Learn to perform maintenance and mechanical tasks to Toyota standards
- Accurately record job times and work activities
- Understand and follow repair order instructions
- Help plan jobs and identify required vehicle parts
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workshop
- Attend all prescribed technical training and development sessions
- Follow company procedures and quality standards
- Gradually build competence toward full technician qualification
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Education
- Grade 12 (National Certificate)
- Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects (compulsory)
- Automotive studies subject will be an advantage
Personal Attributes
- Young, energetic, and eager to learn
- Strong interest in vehicles and mechanical systems
- Good technical aptitude
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong time management and punctuality
- Clear verbal communication (training conducted in English)
