Purpose of the Position

The EPWP Data Capturing role exists to support the EPWP unit by accurately capturing data, maintaining records, and providing general administrative support. Staff in this role will play a vital part in ensuring that programme information is processed correctly and available for reporting and planning.


Key Responsibilities

The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:

• Capturing and updating EPWP participant and project data
• Managing and organising electronic and paper records
• Assisting with general office administration tasks
• Coordinating document flow and basic correspondence
• Taking minutes during meetings when required
• Supporting reporting and documentation processes
• Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this EPWP data capturing position, applicants must meet the following:

• South African citizen
• Reside within the jurisdiction of the City of Johannesburg
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification
• At least six months’ experience in administration or data capturing
• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of the EPWPRS (EPWP Reporting System) will be advantageous
• Youth aged 18 – 35 will be prioritised
• Women and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
• Willingness to undergo computer-based assessments as part of the selection process
