The company is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join the Middelburg team. This role is important in maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment for employees and visitors. By ensuring the facility remains hygienic and well-organised, the Cleaner supports smooth production operations and helps uphold Twizza’s commitment to quality standards.


Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of the building. Cleaners play a crucial role in ensuring work areas, communal spaces and production zones remain safe, presentable and conducive to efficient operations. This includes routine cleaning, replenishing supplies, supporting staff with facility-related tasks and adhering to safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities

The Cleaner will perform a range of duties that contribute to the overall hygiene and functionality of the facility. These tasks are essential for supporting both daily activities and broader operational goals.

1. Issuing Cleaning Chemicals to Product Lines

The role includes providing production departments with the appropriate cleaning chemicals as needed. This ensures that equipment and surfaces are sanitised according to internal standards. Accurate issuing and safe handling are important for maintaining operational hygiene.

2. Replenishing Hand Towels

The Cleaner will ensure that hand towels in designated areas are replaced when required. Regular replenishment supports hygienic practices among staff and helps maintain facility cleanliness.

3. Following Instructions from the Line Manager

Flexibility and teamwork are essential. The Cleaner must follow reasonable instructions and task assignments provided by the line manager. This may include ad hoc responsibilities or adjustments to cleaning schedules as operational needs arise.

4. Carrying Out Heavy Cleaning Tasks and Special Projects

Some tasks may involve more intensive cleaning, such as deep cleaning sessions, seasonal cleaning projects, or the upkeep of specific production zones. These duties ensure that the facility remains safe, sanitary and well-maintained.

5. Working Cooperatively With Staff

The position requires effective collaboration with other team members to ensure cleaning tasks support the overall workflow. Cooperative teamwork contributes to a healthy work environment and smooth daily operations.

6. Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations

Maintaining a safe workplace is a top priority. The Cleaner must follow all health and safety procedures, including safe use of chemicals, proper handling of equipment and compliance with organisational hygiene policies. This protects both the cleaner and other employees.


Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric) – This requirement is non-negotiable.

Candidates should be punctual, responsible and motivated to maintain high cleanliness standards within the facility.
