FlySafair, one of South Africa’s most reputable low-cost airlines, is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals for 12 Temporary Stock & Compliance Assistant positions. These roles form part of the airline’s operational support structure and will assist with stock, compliance, and quality checks within the Sales & Distribution department.

The Temporary Stock & Compliance Assistants play an essential part in ensuring the accuracy, safety, and compliance of stock management processes related to airside trolleys, catering supplies, and operational procedures.


Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Stock & Compliance Team Leader in managing physical stock, verifying compliance, and monitoring operational procedures. This involves accurate stock counting, adherence to aviation regulatory standards, and reporting any irregularities to management.

The position requires individuals who are dependable, organised, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment that prioritises accuracy and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be required to:

Stock Control
  • Perform physical stock counts for airside trolleys and storage areas
  • Capture stock information accurately using designated systems
  • Verify that all trolleys are properly sealed and comply with FlySafair procedures
  • Assist with stock rotation, replenishment, and basic stock management tasks
Compliance Monitoring
  • Observe operational procedures followed by flight crew and catering partners
  • Ensure that all stock handling aligns with approved compliance guidelines
  • Report any inconsistencies, discrepancies, or non-compliance to management promptly
  • Support compliance-driven audits, checks, and inspections
Ad Hoc Support
  • Assist the Stock & Compliance Team Leader with additional stock control duties
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency
  • Support cross-functional activities when required within the Sales & Distribution unit

These responsibilities are essential for ensuring that stock, catering items, and operational processes align with FlySafair’s safety and compliance standards.


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the Temporary Stock & Compliance Assistant role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
  • Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Advantageous)
  • 1 year of experience in stock control, inventory management, compliance monitoring, or related fields (Essential)
  • Experience in aviation, FMCG, or catering environments (Advantageous)
  • Experience using stock management systems or ERP platforms (Advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of stock management principles
  • Willingness to work overtime and standby when required
