About the Role
The General Worker Stacker plays an important role in the packing department by ensuring finished products are correctly stacked, inspected, labelled, and prepared for storage or distribution. The position also involves assisting with manual handling, maintaining cleanliness in the production area, and supporting maintenance activities when required.
This role is best suited to someone who is physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a busy milling environment.
Key Responsibilities
Successful applicants will perform a variety of production and warehouse support duties, including:
- Manually remove materials and finished products from machines and production equipment.
- Stack and palletise finished product cases according to company standards.
- Inspect products and packaging for defects before stacking.
- Apply the correct manufacturing product stickers and date codes to finished cases.
- Participate in general physical labour as required.
- Lift, carry, and move heavy loads of approximately 25 kg safely.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Complete finished goods tickets accurately and neatly.
- Ensure all stacked products meet the required quality standards.
- Assist the maintenance team with troubleshooting production equipment when required.
- Check bottom and end seals on packaging for quality compliance.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation duties assigned by supervisors.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and operational requirements.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- At least one year of experience in the milling industry.
- Six months to one year of experience working as a stacker or in a similar production role.
