General Worker – VKB Grain, Douglas
VKB Group is currently recruiting for a permanent General Worker position at VKB Grain in Douglas. The main purpose of the General Worker role is to provide assistance at the grain facility and help ensure that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. Cleaning duties will also form part of the daily responsibilities to maintain a safe and clean working environment. In addition, the employee may be required to drive a tractor when necessary and assist with any ad hoc tasks requested by supervisors.
To qualify for this position, applicants must have a minimum Grade 12 certificate. Previous experience of between 0 and 2 years in a similar role will be beneficial, although candidates with little experience may still apply. Applicants must also have a clear criminal record and be willing to work overtime when required. Because the role involves manual labour and physical activity, candidates must be physically fit and capable of working under pressure.
