Role Overview
Driver Operators play a key role in road construction and maintenance projects. Successful candidates will be responsible for operating specialized machinery, transporting materials, and assisting with general maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate earthmoving and road maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
- Transport materials and equipment to designated work sites
- Assist with road construction, repairs, and maintenance tasks
- Conduct basic equipment checks and report faults
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards on-site
- Support team operations to ensure timely project completion

Positions are available across several regions in KwaZulu-Natal, including:
Pietermaritzburg Region
Multiple opportunities are available in areas such as Ixopo, Underberg, Umzimkhulu, Cedarville, Kokstad, Taylors Halt, Eston, Cedara, and Nottingham Road. These include roles within grader teams, maintenance teams, betterment teams, drainage units, and depot operations.
Ladysmith Region
Vacancies are distributed across Dundee, Greytown, Kranskop, Dannhauser, Utrecht, Newcastle, Emnambithi, and surrounding areas. Roles include grader operators, maintenance staff, flying squad teams, and betterment units.
Durban Region
Opportunities are available in Harding, Port Shepstone, Umbumbulu, Mount Edgecombe, and Metro areas. Positions include concrete teams, blacktop teams, maintenance teams, and grader operators.
Empangeni Region
Posts are available in Vryheid, Pongola, Nongoma, Msebe, Mahlabathini, Usuthu, and nearby areas. These include roles in grader teams, crusher operations, signage teams, and maintenance units.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
- Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the equipment category
