💊 POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will assist the pharmacist with dispensing medication and perform various pharmacy-related administrative duties. The role requires someone who is professional, organised, customer-focused and able to work accurately in a busy healthcare environment.
🎓 REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
✅ Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
✅ Qualification as a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant
✅ Registration as a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant with the South African Pharmacy Council will be advantageous
✅ Strong communication skills
✅ Good computer literacy
✅ Ability to work effectively with people
✅ Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
💼 WORK EXPERIENCE
The employer is looking for a candidate with:
🔹 At least 2 years’ experience in a similar Pharmacist Assistant position
🔹 Experience working in a pharmacy
🔹 Experience in private healthcare or the healthcare funding industry will be advantageous
🔹 Knowledge and experience with dispensing systems
🔹 Knowledge of ordering systems
🧠 SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
The successful candidate should have good knowledge of:
💊 Dispensing procedures
💻 Computer systems
📦 Pharmacy ordering systems
👥 Working with people and assisting customers
📋 Following instructions and procedures
🎯 Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
You should also be able to communicate fluently in English and present information clearly and professionally.
