🚛 About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving, operating and maintaining roadshow and delivery trucks. The role also involves transporting event stock and equipment, supporting event setups and breakdowns, assisting with branding activations and providing professional customer service.
The driver will represent CCBSA at various events and activations and will be required to work according to planned schedules.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Duties will include:
• Transporting event stock, branding materials, equipment, trailers, coolers and promotional assets safely
• Collecting and delivering stock and equipment to event locations
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections and cleanliness checks
• Reporting vehicle maintenance requirements and ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy
• Supporting event setup and breakdown activities
• Assisting with branding placement and equipment activations
• Loading and offloading stock and equipment
• Safeguarding company stock, assets and promotional materials
• Planning effective transport routes
• Supporting customers, suppliers, venue teams and internal stakeholders
• Working with event coordinators, assistants and warehouse teams
• Reporting incidents, vehicle damage and operational risks
• Following company procedures and operational schedules
🦺 Safety & Compliance
The successful candidate must follow road safety regulations, SHEQ requirements, PPE standards and vehicle operating procedures. They will also be expected to maintain high standards of safety and operational discipline while transporting equipment and supporting events.
🎓 Requirements
Applicants must have:
✅ Grade 12 / Matric
✅ Valid Code 14 driver’s licence with PDP
✅ 2–4 years’ experience in driving, logistics, fleet or FMCG operational support
✅ Good knowledge of safe driving practices
✅ Route planning and logistics skills
✅ Stock and asset-handling abilities
✅ Good communication and teamwork skills
✅ Customer service skills
✅ Strong time-management and organisational abilities
✅ Problem-solving skills
Experience transporting event equipment, stock or promotional materials will be advantageous. Previous exposure to customer-facing or event environments is also preferred.
🚨 Important
This role may require flexible working hours and extensive travel, depending on scheduled events and activations. Candidates should therefore be prepared to work outside standard hours when required.
