Job Overview
Woolworths is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Store Specialist: Beauty to join its Corporate Stores team at Woolworths Sandton City in Johannesburg. This role is ideal for someone with beauty sales experience who enjoys helping customers, has strong product knowledge, and is confident recommending beauty products based on individual customer needs.
The successful candidate will provide professional beauty advice and personalised consultations while promoting the Woolworths Beauty range. You will play an important role in achieving sales targets, maintaining excellent product presentation, managing stock, and creating a welcoming and professional beauty shopping experience.
Candidates should have a Grade 12 qualification, together with a qualification and/or experience in Cosmetology or another beauty-related field. At least one year of experience in a beauty sales environment is required. A strong understanding of beauty products and brands, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for retail and customer service are important for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
The Store Specialist: Beauty will be responsible for:
- Providing expert beauty advice and personalised consultations to customers.
- Understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate beauty products.
- Promoting Woolworths Beauty products, new product launches, and in-store promotions.
- Working towards and achieving departmental and individual sales targets.
- Using product knowledge and beauty expertise to educate and influence customers.
- Staying informed about beauty products, brands, trends, and new developments.
- Ensuring products are available, correctly displayed, and presented according to Woolworths standards.
- Managing stock effectively and helping to minimise stock loss and shrinkage.
- Maintaining attractive and well-organised beauty merchandising.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and tester presentation.
- Ensuring the beauty area remains clean, professional, and inviting.
- Processing customer transactions accurately and following operational procedures.
- Completing required administrative tasks accurately.
- Working collaboratively with store colleagues to achieve department and store objectives.
- Supporting general store operations when required.
- Maintaining a professional and well-groomed appearance that reflects the Woolworths brand.
- Working different shifts according to operational requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / National Certificate.
- Qualification and/or experience in Cosmetology or a beauty-related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a beauty sales environment.
- Strong knowledge of beauty brands and products.
- Genuine passion for beauty, retail, selling, and customer service.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently persuade and influence customers through product knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.
- Well-groomed appearance with appropriate use of cosmetics.
