⛽ JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing friendly and professional customer service while safely refuelling vehicles and assisting customers with payments. The role also involves keeping the forecourt clean, safe and efficient.
This is an entry-level opportunity, making it suitable for candidates who meet the minimum requirements and are looking to gain experience in the automotive, retail or service environment.
🛠️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Petrol Attendant will be responsible for:
- Filling petrol and diesel tanks with the correct fuel requested by customers.
- Collecting payments and providing customers with the correct change.
- Processing card payments using Speedpoint machines.
- Providing customers with receipts.
- Washing vehicle windshields.
- Checking vehicle fluid levels and tyre pressure.
- Preparing daily reports relating to fuel and oil.
- Cleaning and preparing the petrol station work area.
- Loading and delivering materials when required.
- Emptying waste bins and transporting waste to designated collection areas.
- Informing management when fuel levels are running low.
- Reporting any equipment deficiencies, maintenance requirements or repairs to management.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and customer-friendly forecourt environment.
🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Good communication skills
- Good customer service skills
