Minimum Requirements

Key Responsibilities
The P40 Shop Assistant/Cashier will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the store and ensuring customers receive a high-quality shopping experience.
A key responsibility will be providing excellent customer service at all times. The successful candidate must be friendly, approachable, confident, and able to understand customer needs. They will assist customers with product selection and provide product knowledge to help increase basket value.
The employee will also be responsible for processing customer merchandise through the cashier tills accurately and efficiently. Attention to detail is important when handling transactions and ensuring that customers receive professional service.
The Shop Assistant/Cashier will ensure that new and replenished merchandise is placed correctly on the sales floor and that the store remains well presented. This includes ensuring that all required ticketing, visual displays, and merchandising are in place.
The successful candidate will support the Store Manager with day-to-day duties and assist in maintaining an organised and efficient store environment.
The employee will also be responsible for ensuring that store equipment is properly secured and accounted for. They must understand and follow applicable health and safety rules to help maintain a safe environment for customers and employees.
An understanding of the store’s daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets will also be required. The Shop Assistant/Cashier will support the implementation of action plans aimed at improving store performance and minimising stock losses.
