Job Overview
The Building Company is looking for a Driver 3501–9000 kg to join its B-ONE operation in Centurion on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient and timely transportation and delivery of goods, equipment and materials to designated locations.
This is a hands-on driving and delivery role requiring someone who is responsible, safety-conscious and experienced in operating heavy vehicles. The driver will be expected to comply with all applicable road traffic legislation and company procedures while ensuring that goods are transported securely and delivered in good condition.
The position also involves assisting with loading and offloading, checking vehicle condition, completing required documentation and providing customer service during deliveries. Drivers will need to ensure that vehicles are properly packed and that loads are secured to minimise the risk of damage, breakages or loss.

Key Responsibilities
The Driver will be responsible for:
- Delivering goods, equipment and materials safely and on time.
- Ensuring the vehicle is neatly and correctly packed before leaving for deliveries.
- Taking precautions to prevent damage and breakages during transportation.
- Supervising and assisting with loading and offloading activities.
- Conducting daily vehicle inspection checks before operating the vehicle.
- Identifying and reporting vehicle defects promptly.
- Maintaining the vehicle in a clean, safe and suitable condition.
- Ensuring customers receive the correct quantities and supplies.
- Working to reduce unnecessary vehicle and delivery costs.
- Completing and obtaining the required authorisations for delivery notes.
- Collecting COD monies when required.

- Completing trip sheets, delivery notes and other required documentation.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Valid Code 10 Heavy Vehicle (HV) licence for the applicable vehicle category.
- Code 8 Light Vehicle (LV) licence as specified in the advert.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- At least 2 years of relevant driving experience.
- Experience operating heavy vehicles and transporting goods or equipment.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and relevant traffic legislation.
- Ability to complete trip sheets, delivery notes and other documentation.
- A satisfactory driving record.
Candidates should ensure their driving licence and PrDP are valid and that their CV clearly reflects their relevant heavy-vehicle driving experience.
