Job Overview
Woolworths is looking for a customer-focused Store Specialist: Interactive (Kitchen & Bakery) to join its Corporate Stores team at Ballito Junction, KZN.
The role is based around the hot foods counter, where the successful candidate will assist customers, prepare and serve quality products, manage stock and maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and product presentation.

Key Responsibilities
As a Store Specialist: Interactive, you will be responsible for:
- Providing friendly and professional customer service at the hot foods counter.
- Greeting customers and assisting them with product-related queries.
- Advising customers on available products and recommending suitable options or alternatives.
- Preparing and serving quality food products according to Woolworths policies and procedures.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.
- Managing stock effectively and ensuring products are properly displayed.
- Conducting stock rotation and helping minimise waste.
- Maintaining good product availability and presentation.
- Keeping up to date with new product lines and current promotions.
- Applying selling skills by understanding customer needs and identifying suitable opportunities.
- Completing required shop-keeping documentation, including temperature records and price adjustments.
- Following safety and operational procedures at all times.
- Reporting dishonesty, stock loss or shrinkage concerns to management.
- Maintaining appropriate attendance, punctuality, dress code and personal hygiene standards.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing positively to team performance.
- Supporting colleagues and working together to maintain an efficient store environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 / National Certificate or equivalent NQF qualification.
- Availability to work different retail shifts.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage stock carefully and follow hygiene standards.
- Intermediate planning and organisational skills.
- Basic product knowledge and a willingness to learn.
- Basic teamwork and collaboration skills.
- A reliable, honest and ethical approach to work.
- The ability to follow company policies, safety procedures and operational requirements.
- Creativity and willingness to contribute ideas and solve problems.
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience is advantageous.
