VKB Group – VKB Milling is recruiting for a General Worker position at its wheat mill in Modderrivier, Northern Cape. 🎓 REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have:
✅ Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
✅ Ability to perform hard manual labour
✅ Ability to read and understand English
✅ Painting experience
✅ Experience or ability to assist with loading and offloading stock
✅ Basic stock-control ability
✅ Good practical skills and physical fitness
✅ Ability to work as part of a team
✅ Good communication skills
✅ Ability to follow instructions
✅ Attention to detail
✅ Good time management
✅ Willingness to work Monday to Saturday
✅ Willingness to work night shifts
🧹 DUTIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of general tasks at the VKB Milling premises.
Duties may include:
🔹 Keeping the premises clean and tidy
🔹 General cleaning duties
🔹 General housekeeping
🔹 Loading and offloading stock
🔹 Assisting customers and suppliers with stock when required
🔹 Stock-control activities
🔹 Painting and maintenance-related tasks
🔹 Performing ad hoc duties as assigned
🔹 Following company policies and procedures
🔹 Maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy
This position requires someone who is physically fit, reliable, hardworking and willing to work in a demanding environment. Candidates should be able to perform manual tasks and maintain focus while completing their duties.
💼 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
VKB Group is an agricultural company involved in various parts of the food supply chain, including farming, processing, logistics and food production.
VKB Milling forms part of VKB Agri Processors and operates several mills across South Africa. The Modderrivier operation is a wheat mill located in the Northern Cape.
