📋 JOB SUMMARY
TWK Agri has an exciting opportunity available for a Code 10 Driver within its Trade division at Empangeni Retail in KwaZulu-Natal.
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting stock to clients in a safe, efficient and timely manner. The role also involves checking and counting stock during loading and off-loading, completing the required documentation accurately and ensuring that all road safety regulations are followed.
This opportunity is suitable for a responsible and reliable driver who has a valid Code 10 driver’s licence with a PDP and enjoys working in a customer-focused environment.
🚛 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Transporting stock safely to clients.
- Ensuring deliveries are completed within the required timeframes.
- Checking stock before it leaves the premises.
- Counting stock during the loading process.
- Checking and counting stock when off-loading at the client’s premises.
- Ensuring that the correct stock is delivered to the correct customer.
- Completing all required loading and off-loading documentation.
- Ensuring delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
- Reporting any stock discrepancies or delivery issues.
- Handling stock responsibly during transportation.
- Maintaining the safety and security of stock while in transit.
- Following all company procedures relating to deliveries and transportation.
- Strictly complying with road traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Operating the assigned vehicle responsibly and professionally.
- Maintaining good communication with customers and colleagues.
- Performing other reasonable duties related to the position when required.
🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Must be literate.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Previous experience transporting stock is advantageous.
- Approximately 2 years’ experience in stock transportation will be an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.
- Ability to work responsibly and independently.
- Being bilingual in English and isiZulu will be advantageous.
